On 13th June G8 Finance Ministers welcomed the first signs of "stabilisation" in the world economy and started to talk of strategies to emerge from the crisis whilst highlighting that for the time being recovery work had to be maintained. After the meeting in Lecce, G8 Ministers (Germany, Canada, USA, France, UK, Italy, Russia, Japan) published a joint press release which was voluntarily cautious given the declarations that are growing about the end of the crisis.
