26th July 2010The Spanish Equipment and Transport Minister, José Blanco announced on 22nd July that nearly 200 major infrastructure projects were to be put on hold in Spain. Following the austerity measures decided upon by the Spanish government the ministry's budget will be reduced by 6.4 billion euros. The projects, frozen for four years mainly concern roads, motorways and railways. The ports and airports sectors are however not concerned by this.
