Publication of forecasts for the Union's 2013 budget
30th April 2012On 25th April the European Commission asked the Member States to increase their contributions to the Union by 6.8% in 2013. This is a problem since some States believing they have been the main contributors to the rescue funds (France, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, Austria) are refusing to increase their contributions. The aim of these adaptations is to maintain growth and employment at the heart of European concern. Overall the draft budget 2013 totals 150.9 billion euros in commitments and 137.9 billion in payments.
