Turkey

Visiting Turkey on 27th July British Prime Minister David Cameron said that he would fight for Turkey to be able to join the European Union. He criticised France and Germany whom he accused of wanting to prevent the country’s candidature recalling that Turkey’s entry into the EU would be an advantage and not a threat for other European countries. He also welcomed Turkey’s contribution to the war effort in Afghanistan alongside its European allies.
