Présentation du Centre européen Robert Schuman



Le CENTRE EUROPÉEN ROBERT SCHUMAN (CERS) à Scy-Chazelles est une association indépendante à but non lucratif qui a pour mission de promouvoir l'œuvre et le souvenir du Président Robert Schuman - Père de l'Europe -, de familiariser le grand public avec la construction européenne, de développer chez les plus jeunes comme chez les adultes la prise de conscience des enjeux et des difficultés de l'Union européenne en les impliquant dans une réflexion dynamique sur le devenir de l'Europe.

Dans le cadre du service éducatif de la Maison de Robert Schuman, il offre aux nombreux visiteurs, en collaboration avec les services du Département de la Moselle, un message actualisé de progrès et d'espérance sur l'unification, l'identité et la culture européennes sous formes d'animations européennes et d'événements complémentaires aux collections permanentes, soulignant les efforts et les réalisations depuis le 9 mai 1950. Le CERS anime un réseau de sites consacrés aux pionniers de l'Europe et aux lieux de mémoire des guerres européennes.

Le CERS propose des informations européennes et des conférences et:ou des expositions itinérantes sur l'actualité européenne. Il gère un centre d'information et de documentation européennes, diffuse de l'information européenne spécialisée et individualisée et assiste notamment les porteurs de projets européens issus de la société civile.

En collaboration avec le réseau des Maisons de l'Europe, il développe, particulièrement sur le site de Scy-Chazelles, une offre de formation européenne : formations à la citoyenneté des jeunes, stages d'apprentissage à l'inter culturalité, stages professionnels franco-allemands et européens pour le compte d'entreprises, de collectivités territoriales ou d'O.N.G. notamment de la Grande Région Sar-Lor-Lux.
