The Robert Schuman Foundation organised a study trip on the French administrative and political administration for a group of young Ukrainian politicians from the Institute for Political Training in Kiev. This training was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Training Seminar in the Ukraine

The Robert Schuman Foundation organised, with the Political Training Institute of Kiev (Ukraine) and in cooperation with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy, on September 25,26, and 27, the first training seminar for young professionals wishing to change Ukraine's political landscape. The seminar was conducted by French members of parliament and by Jean-Dominique GIULIANI, the Foundation's chairman.

Moldova

The Vice-Chairman and the Director of the Robert Schuman Foundation went to Moldova on August 29-31, 1999, in order to attend the opening ceremony of the Free University of Moldova. The President of the Republic of Moldova, the dean of the Free University, the cultural advisor of the French Embassy as well as a large number of professors and students of the University attended this ceremony.
