On 4th June the Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation Jean-Dominique Giuliani was host to Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Moldova, Iurie Leanca, who was on a working visit to Paris.
During the interview Iurie Leanca presented his country's situation and spoke of its desire to modernise. He mentioned negotiations with the EU started on 12th January last in view of an association agreement, as well as the Transnistrian issue which is impeding the process of European integration.
The Foundation's Chairman assured him of his support.
