The Foundation has supported since 1992 the creation of a Robert Schuman centre in Kaunas, the second city of Lithuania. Directed by Mrs. Birute Straksiene, the centre offers a large number of activities that promote French culture and language teaching.

On July 10, 2026, the European Institute of Romania (EIR) organized an online
event based on the collective report published in April 2026 and entitled “The EU and Asian
States: Towards a Sustainable Cooperation.”.The participants to the dialogue were some of the co-authors – experts and representatives of the academic community from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei/ Brunei Darussalam, China, France, Greece, India, Mongolia, Pakistan, Poland and Romania.
