On 14th January 2014 the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee organised a round-table on European political union and democratic control with Jean-Dominique Giuliani, Chairman of the Robert Schuman Foundation, Arnaud Chneiweiss, member of the European Observatory of the Jean-Jaurès Foundation and Jean-Paul Tran Thiet, member of the managing committee of the Montaigne Institute. event based on the collective report published in April 2026 and entitled “The EU and Asian
States: Towards a Sustainable Cooperation.”.The participants to the dialogue were some of the co-authors – experts and representatives of the academic community from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei/ Brunei Darussalam, China, France, Greece, India, Mongolia, Pakistan, Poland and Romania.
