ESPOL & Université catholique de Lille host a conference on Europe after Brexit on 9& 10 November . This conference examines the political implications of Brexit for Europe. Brexit has already generated copious amounts of debate, but much of this has been focused on the UK and on the economic consequences of Britain's impending departure from the EU. What we aim to do here is to shift the focus to the political consequences for the rest of Europe. Does it pose a significant risk, or does it create an opportunity to relaunch and revitalise integration? The conference will explore the potential Implications of Brexit politics across four themes: the impact on individual member-states; the consequences for EU policies; the challenges for the EU's global role; and the effects on European integration as a whole. Thierry Chopin, director of studies for our Foundation, will participate to a round table entitled "The winner takes it all" ? - the political battles of Brexit on Thursday 9 November.
