This meeting was entitled "50 years after the Rome Treaty: successes and challenges of the European Union". It was co-organised by the Konrad Adenauer, Friedrich Ebert, Robert Schuman Foundations, the CEFRES, the Czech associations ANO and CEVRO, as well as the German and French embassies in Prague, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Rome treaties. The conference was designed to point out the successes of the European project, to explain the reasons why we more than ever need Europe and to discuss the future of Europe.

The Alcide De Gasperi Foundation and the Robert Schuman Foundation celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration in Rome on 13th May. Jean-Dominique Giuliani, President of the Robert Schuman Foundation, will be speaking at a conference to mark the occasion.
