Scy Chazelles named European Heritage site

null

1 April 2007 - France

At the behest of the European Commission, the "European Patrimony" label was bestowed upon the house of Robert Schuman in Scy-Chazelles (57). The goal of the label is to emphasize the European dimension of cultural goods, monuments, both urban and natural sites and memorial sites which bear witness to European history and heritage. In France, Cluny Abbey (71) is, since the 19th of March, the fist site to benefit from this label along with the Cour du Palais des Papes in Avignon (84).
