The Vice-Chairman and the Director of the Robert Schuman Foundation went to Moldova on August 29-31, 1999, in order to attend the opening ceremony of the Free University of Moldova. The President of the Republic of Moldova, the dean of the Free University, the cultural advisor of the French Embassy as well as a large number of professors and students of the University attended this ceremony.
