The Foundation organised together with the Catholic Institute of Paris a special videoconference, on the day of his inauguration, on the United States of Joe Biden. Pierre VIMONT, Ambassador of France, and Simon SERFATY, Professor Emeritus at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, discussed the topic around this virtual round table.

The Foundation and the Catholic Institute of Paris organised a special videoconference on the United States of Joe Biden on the day he was inaugurated as President of the United States. After 4 years of Donald Trump's challenging of multilateralism and relations between the Union and the United States, Europeans hope for a renewal of the transatlantic link. What can we expect from the new American president in terms of foreign policy? Should the Union learn to set its policies without Washington?
