Europeans fought together against the Covid pandemic, jointly purchased military equipment and provided more aid to Ukraine than the Americans, while remaining competitive in trade. Jean-Dominique Guiliani believes that this acceleration in Europe has created 'de facto solidarity', reviving the Schuman dynamic.
