The Moldovans have overwhelmingly confirmed their wish for a European future, despite Russia's interference and destabilising manoeuvres. The vote on 28 September is a clear rejection of Moscow's influence. Transnistria remains a point of tension, but the motivations for secession appear doomed to failure. This election serves as a reminder that Europe continues to embody hope and sends a strong message to both the Kremlin and Western democracies.
