Europe has structural advantages that are comparable to, or even superior to, those of the United States, based not on the display of its power, but on the size of its market, the strength of its structures and its long-term resilience. While challenges remain and should not be ignored, they do not justify fatalism or political renunciation. It is therefore up to leaders and citizens alike to convince themselves of this in order to reaffirm, without complexes, a singular but effective power on the international stage.
